Our success story

1948

The company founded by Hermann Hediger manufactured diamond tools and in particular diamond arbor wheels. Hence the name DIAVITE resulted from DIA- of diamond and VITE- of fast (french).

1953

The first roughness measuring instrument is built for the company SULZER.

1964

Hans Huber assumes the management of the company and the first roughness measuring instrument with transistors is manufactured.

1969

The roughness measuring instrument MT-1 is launched into the market, it is small and compact. All futur developments up to 1979 are based on this instrument.

1985

The inductive tracers with the roughness measuring instrument DT-15 are introduced. At the same time the roughness measuring instrument DT-100 with integrated printer is developed. It comes 1986 on sale.

1996
The inductive feeler system is abandoned, it makes way for the substantially more precise and linear hall element.
The first roughness measuring instrument with this technology is the DH-5. On this basis the following devices DH-6 and DH-7 are developed.
2001

Hans Huber sells the production to ASMETO AG. DIAVITE is from now on managed by Martial Wüthrich.

2005

DIAVITE AG moves from Richterswil to Bachenbülach.

2006

The DIAVITE roughness measuring instrument COMPACT complements the product range.

2013

The new application DIAVITE DH-8/App turns every Windows PC into a roughness meter.

2016

In June 2016, the company moves to nearby Bülach. At the new location 400 sqm are now available.

2019

Launch of the unique and smart DIAVITE DH-10 TOUCH for tracers without and with skid.

2020
The pandemic years 2020 to 2022 have had a major impact on the production of DIAVITE roughness measuring devices.
The procurement and delivery times of components and raw materials are enormously time-consuming and not always rewarded with success.
Another solution must be found as the fastest possible.

Mr Martial Wüthrich therefore decides to develop a new range of DIAVITE roughness measuring devices with high-quality aluminium housings.
The new product range will include the following roughness measuring devices: DIAVITE MICRO/VH and MICRO/VHF, DIAVITE DH-9/VH and DH-9/VHF, as well as a re-engineered DIAVITE DH-10 TOUCH and last but not least the DIAVITE NANO/VH and NANO/VHF.
The Diasoft Basic software is replaced by the DIAVITE APP LIGHT and augmented by the DIAVITE APP REGULAR with the W, K and D options.
All DIAVITE devices are already equipped with the new ISO 21920 standard and are state-of-the-art.
2023
The first DIAVITE MICRO/VH and MICRO/VHF devices are delivered in January.
The DAVITE DH-9/VH and DH-9/VHF follows in September.
2024
The re-engineered DIAVITE DH-10 TOUCH is ready for delivery at the end of January.
The Bluetooth module for the MICRO and DH-9 devices became available in April.
In May, the NANO/VH and NANO/VHF with the DIAVITE APP REGULAR is released.
